Gelato vs. Ice
Cream
Gelato is simply the Italian word for ice cream, but
it is also more dense and far more flavorful and
creamy than
traditional American ice cream.
American ice cream has 20 to 40%
air whipped into it to increase it's volume. This is
known as overrun.
One of the benefits of Gelato is that it is much
lower in fat than ice cream.
Ice cream needs a minimum of 10% butter fat. Most
ice creams have far more.
Premium and Super-Premium ice creams containing from
16 to 24% butter fat.
Gelato has only 4% to 8%! |

Sorbet Healthy?
Sorbet is more flavorful than Sherbet and can
also claim “antioxidant” benefits based on the high ORAC
(Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacityvalues) of the
fruits.
But, rather than
look for health benefits from a sorbet, just enjoy them
for what they are. Intense flavor and great taste.
Fresh fruits
and pure fruit concentrates are used to create our
flavors. Flavors so rich and vibrant
your palate will sing for joy!
